Brit Lit: Conducted WebQuest for Frankenstein on both Thursday & Friday. Turned in for a grade at the end of each day.

AP Research: We went over vocab 4, ex. 1-3; students worked independently on Anno Bib due Monday. HOMEWORK: Vocab 4 quiz on Friday; 15-source Anno Bib due Monday, Oct 31. Students are contacting possible consultants.
Brit Lit: Students completed their in-class COMPARE/CONTRAST essay over two reply poems (Marlowe & Raleigh).
Homecoming, Fall Break, and Senior Week are over. These events explain the hiatus of my daily blog upkeep; however, we’re back to normal and trucking along. There are about 9 weeks left in first semester.
YBK: We are racing to finish up 42 pages to submit to Herff Jones by next week.
AP Research: Students received Vocab 4 words and 1a, 1b, & 1c exercises are due Wednesday. Next Monday, your 15 (different sources from the 10) Anno Bib is due. Then we’ll begin writing the Lit Review. In the meantime, you are making contact with consultants. Once you’ve found 1, you can stop; however, you have to show how you’ve contacted 3 in order to receive credit for this portion of the Research Proposal Packet (due Friday before Thanksgiving).
Brit Lit: On Monday, we read two poems (page 266) “The Passionate Shepherd to His Love” and “The Nymph’s Reply” and discussed the two poets and reply poems. We completed page 31 worksheet. In class on Tuesday, we discussed COMPARE/CONTRAST essay, completed page 33 in class, and Mrs. Rager checked everyone’s thesis / 3 points of contrast before class was over. Keep all of this material, as you will be able to use it on your essay in class on Wednesday.
